Asif has been the creative force behind YU Spaces and leads its global strategy and development initiatives. His passion for contemporary design came in the early 90’s when both living and working in Spain and Italy.
Prior to establishing YU Spaces Asif spent 15 years working within the sports management arena in International and development, working for some of the biggest sports brands in Football and F1.
It was through his extensive travelling and marketing expertise in brand development that he saw a niche in contemporary design within the UK market. He set about forming partnerships globally with some of the leading lights in the industry and thus YU Spaces and Partners was born.
Today the company has five regional offices globally and has carried out numerous design and build projects in over a dozen countries.
Asif has an excellent eye to both unearth new design talent and precure new products for YU demanding clientele. His knowledge of contemporary design, construction and procurement is highly respected within the industry.
In his spare time he works on charitable projects, loves to travel, learn languages and works as a motivational speaker.
Simone Micheli is a leading Italian Architect and Interior designer who founded the architectural studio bearing his name in 1990. They have offices based in Florence, Milan and Dubai.
His professional activity moves in different directions from architecture to interior design, from design to visual design going through mass-media and social media; his creations, are eco-friendly, oriented to nature and are defined by a strong identity and uniqueness.
Simone is also visiting Professor at the the Poli. Design >and the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan. He recently exhibited his works at the Venice Biennale, in the architectural sector. He works as editor of the theme exhibition named “contract” which is one of the major international exhibitions in this field.
Marta González Alonso (1972) received her degree in architecture in 1997 from the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra, Spain. She developed her career in architecture studies working in Pamplona and Madrid, where she founded her studio in 2003.
The projects that have been developed in the studio are primarily contemporary residential houses at which the studio has built a reputation on designing.
Her first works were commercial premises located in Burgos, Valencia and Madrid, but Marta went back to her strength which was designing contemporary residential properties which have become the hallmark of the studio.
The studio has built a strong reputation for designing boutique properties in some of the most exclusive areas of Madrid and has won numerous awards for their cutting edge designs.
Fran Silvestre (born 5 July 1976) is a Spanish architect. After having graduated in Architecture at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valencia in 2001, he specialized in urban planning at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven a year later.
He then won a scholarship to work at the studio of the Pritzker Prize architect from Portugal, Alvaro Siza, which is located in Oporto, and have ever since then undertaken projects in cooperation with him.
Fran has also been the visiting professor at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia since 2006 and the Universidad Europea since 2009.
Fran Silvestre Architects has been awarded with the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2013 in the category: “architecture an urban design” for the project House on the cliff.
During 2010, has been awarded the MHK Prize (Berlin) for the project Casa del Atrio (Atrium House); and has been finalist of Concurso international for la Fundación de Arquitectura Contemporánea de Córdoba and the project Casa en la Ladera del castillo (House on the mountainside overlooked by castle) has been chosen by Fundación Caja Arquitectos to be part of the best Spanish architectural buildings of 2008-2009 catalogue.
Gilberto L Rodriguez
Gilberto L. Rodriguez (Monterrey, 1966) is principal at GLR Architects, he completed his bachelor of architecture at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. (ITESM)
He holds a degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he received his Master of Architecture in Urban Design in 1997. He has lectured in several universities around Mexico and has been visiting professor at the Instituto Tecnológico and the Estudios Superiores of Monterrey as well as at the University of Monterrey.
His first built project, the Elizondo House, received a Mention of Honor at the National Biennial of Mexican Architecture in 1994. Highly committed to enhancing the architectural quality of his city and his country, his firm has been recognized with over twenty national design awards.
GLR Architects serves mainly the high-end residential market but as well as the residential and mixed-use building market.
Federico is an architect with an international range (France, Switzerland, USA, Monte Carlo, Turkey), but with a solid Italian grounding, born in Biella in 1964; graduated from the Milan Polytechnic in 1996) within a few years has gained wide experience in the design of a very wide range of types of architecture: private housing, restaurants (for the catering industry), a rehabilitation centre, office buildings … numerous projects of interior design but also industrial design.
His early experience in the field has consolidated a talent and a distinctive sensibility for spaces, perceived in his projects as an intangible quality which Federico Delrosso calls “the emotional fourth dimension”. In other words, in his interiors as well as his architecture the result of the masterly relationship between three-dimensional spaces and the elaboration of surfaces is always a sense of pleasant balance, typical of fine architecture.
Bruno Erpicum (born 1959 ) is a leading Belgium architect. After having graduated from the ISASLB – Institute of Architecture Saint Luc Brussels he carried out his training course of architecture and collaborated with Graff in South Africa working on projects in Johannesburg.
In 2001 Bruno created his practice Atelier D’Architecture Bruno Erpicum & Partenaires and has won numerous awards which include Architectural BIFSA Awards, RSA, Architectural LION Awards, England the Prix De L’Urbanisme 2004, Belgium
Bruno also participated in the international Colloquim “Contemporary Architecture” organized by the Brussels Government in March 2003.
Miquel Angel Lacomba Segui (born 1971) is a leading Spanish architect. He founded Miquel Lacomba architects in 1997 which is based in Palma, Mallorca in Spain.
He has won various architectural competitions over the past few years and many of his projects have been published in various books and magazines both nationally and internationally.
In 1989 he began his architectural studies at the ETSAV of the University Polytechnic in Cataluña. In 1994 he obtained an Erasmus scholarship for a year at the Arkitekturskolan KTH IN Stockholm, Sweden. He passed with first class honors at the ETSAV with his final year project.
Between 2002 and 2005 he has been the visiting professor for the Balearic Superior school of Design in conjunction with the Council of Education, Culture and Universities.
In 2005 he participated in the meeting of architects and town planners “Big and Beautiful” which was organized by the School of Architecture and Urbanization of Rotterdam in Holland.
In 2009 the Town hall of Mallorca appointed Miquel to oversee the reformation project of the Plaza Sant Francesc Xavier in conjunction with another architect Federico Climent.
Pat Hanson is a founding partner of gh3, a practice based on a paradigm that explores the overlap of architecture, landscape and sustainability. She is a registered architect who has deliberately staked out a broad practice in the belief that design encompasses the entire spectrum of the built environment.
A versatile designer and a strong visual communicator, Hanson has directed a number of architecture, urbanism and planning projects. gh3 has steadily grown in capacity since its inception, winning multiple awards from its peers.
